Privacy Policy

The short version. BASLN has no servers. Your data syncs privately through your iCloud, end-to-end encrypted. Apple can't read it. BASLN can't read it. Only you have access.

What data is stored

The following data is stored in your private iCloud (or only on the local device if you disable iCloud Sync in Settings): cognitive test results (reaction times, accuracy, scores), pre-test context you provide (sleep hours, caffeine intake, exercise, stress level), personal baseline calculations, session history and streak data, user-defined variables and their values, device model and OS version (for timing calibration only), and app preferences.

What we collect

Nothing. BASLN does not operate any servers of its own. There are no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no user accounts controlled by BASLN, and no telemetry of any kind.

iCloud sync (on by default)

BASLN enables iCloud Sync by default so your cognitive history survives device changes and reinstalls. Data syncs through Apple's private CloudKit database using your personal iCloud account. The iCloud private database is end-to-end encrypted; BASLN has no visibility into it. You can disable sync any time in Settings > iCloud Sync. With sync disabled, data lives only on the local device and will be lost if you change phones.

Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. BASLN does not have access to your payment information.

Data export and import

You can export your data as a CSV file at any time via Settings, and import a BASLN-format CSV on another device or after a reinstall. Both export and import happen locally on your device; nothing is transmitted through BASLN in either direction.

Data deletion

You can delete all your data at any time via Settings > Delete All Data. This removes data from both the local device and your iCloud private database. Uninstalling the app removes local data and stops syncing, but any data already in iCloud remains until you delete the app's iCloud data in iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > BASLN.

Children

BASLN is not intended for use by children under 13.
